Advanced Research Institute is a multi-specialty clinical trial company that leads the industry in conducting clinical trials.

We are conducting studies for Irritable Bowel Syndrome-Diarrhea (IBS-D)Erosive Esophagitis, and Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Qualified patients will be compensated for their time. All medical care and procedures are at no cost to patients or their insurance.

We prioritize patient confidentiality and handle protected health information (PHI) to ensure patient privacy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. We will not share any personal information.

Matt leads clinical trials at Digestive Health Reno

Matt Mehlhaff, Site Manager

Matt is from all over since his dad was in the army growing up but he has called Reno home since 1997. He has been in the medical field since 2001 when he started as a gastrointestinal technician. He has been the manager at Advanced Research Institute’s Reno site since 2013.

Matt has a Bachelor of Science and is a certified clinical research professional (CCRP). He is passionate about research, specifically gastrointestinal studies and loves providing patient care for those that participate.

Matt loves to do home improvement as well as spend time with his friends at the lake. Matt also enjoys skiing and playing soccer in his time off.

Samantha runs clinical trials at Dig Health Reno

Samantha Sipusic, Clinical Research Coordinator

Originating from the Bay Area, Samantha moved with her family to Reno at a young age. She has always had an interest in science and the medical field. Samantha received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2021, and stumbled upon the Clinical Research Coordinator role post-graduation.

She has been with Advanced Research Institute since and has been involved on a number of GI trials involving a variety of GI issues.

She is passionate about providing excellent care to participants of these trials and thoroughly explaining each aspect of the trials so that participants can feel comfortable. In her free time, Samantha enjoys going on outdoor walks, PC gaming, and exploring different restaurants around town with her friends.
